Internships in France for Your Students
For culinary and hospitality programs at universities and colleges in the USA and CanadaTalents Place helps culinary and hospitality schools, colleges and universities in the United States and Canada give their students a paid internship in France: 3 to 6 months in French restaurants and hotels, arranged by a team with an office in the United States.
Why programs partner with Talents Place
- Paid placements. French law requires a gratification for internships over 2 months: approx. €4.50/hour in 2026.
- Real French kitchens and hotels. Restaurants, brasseries, pastry shops and hotels across France, from bistro to fine dining.
- Lower cost for students. Many host companies provide meals during shifts, and accommodation is often provided or arranged nearby.
- Help with visa documents. We help your students prepare the documents for their visa application.
- One contact for your coordinator. A US-based team you can reach by phone, email or video call.
- Clear fees in US dollars. Published on our fee page.
Built to fit your curriculum
The internship can serve as the externship, co-op or practicum of your program, for 12 to 26 weeks. We work with your internship coordinator on dates and learning objectives, and the internship agreement is signed by your institution, the host company and the student. Academic credit is awarded by your institution.
